Sorry for the delay the set is done but we missed the ship date by a few days so the distributor had to push it back to the next available street date

No problem here although i find it kind of ironic that you guys are now releasing it a week after Sentai Filmworks releases the dub/sub DVD & Blu-ray set of the Legends Of The Dark King spinoff. It makes me now wonder if one of the remaining box sets is planned to be released on the same month that Koei Tecmo US is releasing the Ken’s Rage video game for the PS3 & 360?
Speculation aside, i’ll still be looking forward to this set and 1 month won’t hurt a bit.

On a related note, if you can fit it in, you guys should seriously consider adding, “The anime which inspired the upcoming game from Koei” or something to that effect, on the box.

Well, what’s another month? Die-hard fans have waited decades for this thing to reach our shores (and done RIGHT.)

Which transfer do these dvds use? I now they did a remaster of the series and rerelased it in Japan in 2008, which they also uncensored. Does this use that? or does it use the transfer done for the Super Premium Box?
I’m interested in knowing mostly because I already have the Super Premium Box, and would be more interested if it was the new remaster with uncensored scenes.
Also, does Discotek have any plans to do the newer movie series, which comprised of three movies and two ovas?
How about reliscensing and rereleasing New Fist of the North Star?
Sorry if my questions seem random, I am just curious, mostly because it seems Manga Entertainment didn’t support the series enough, and I, in no way, want to see that happen again.

I’ve been watching the sub on Hulu. I can’t wait to actually have a physical set! I would love to see a trailer or clip of the dub you guys produced. Hoping it sounds good!
Otherwise, this is a day-one purchase for me! Keep the set rolling out!

Just got my copy today from Amazon.
Enjoying it so far, since I haven’t watched the early episodes in years.
It’s also fun listening to Manga’s dub for the series. Man, I still don’t know what the hell Ken is saying in the dub when he hits Diamond with the Koshu Hagan Ken. Sounds like he is saying ‘Rotsmile Neck Punch’, but I can’t make out the first word he says at all. ‘Neck Punch’ comes through, but that first word sounds like mumbo-jumbo.

I received my set early on Friday of last week. I have watched all 36 episodes, and I have to say its fantastic! I enjoyed the manga dub actually. It’s a shame they only dubbed 36 episodes. Am looking forward to the remaining 3 sets!!! go Discotek!
