"I don't want it." Just like that, high school girl Kotoko Aihara's dreams were smashed. For two years she's harbored a crush on Naoki Irie, and when she finally gives him a letter confessing her love from him, she's rejected. Heartbroken, things only get worse when that same night an earthquake destroys Kotoko's home and she and her widower father must move in with a family friend. As fate would have it, however, her father's old friend turns out to be Naoki's father, and Kotoko all of a sudden finds herself living in the same house as the man of her dreams! Though they may be living close together, they couldn't be more distant, as Naoki's disdain for "dimwitted girls" keeps him cold to her.
